From 21 May, Alejo Pérez will conduct three performances of Richard Wagner's opera at the Teatro Real.

Since the 2012/2011 sason, Alejo Pérez has been one of the main guest conductors at the Teatro Real Madrid and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, on invitation from Gerard Mortier. Apart from Rienzi, he will return to the Teatro Real for a symphony concert with Mahler's Symphony No. 1 as well as for a production of Golijov's opera Ainadamar.

With performances of Das Rheingold, the young director of the Teatro Argentino de La Plata kicked off a musical adventure: During this and the following season, he will present the first complete Ring with a fully Latinamerican cast.

In November, the Walküre will be shown in La Plata, followed by Siegfried and Götterdämmerung in 2013.

Alejo Pérez will also conduct Wagner in Europe: At the Teatro Real Madrid he will lead three performances of Rienzi between 21 and 27 May.
