+++ Musical Discovery of the Year - the award of the French music critics goes to Jérémie Rhorer +++
At the ceremonie of the Syndicat de la critique de théâtre, musique et danse Award for the 2007/2008 season Jérémie Rhorer was honoured as the best young artist. Since 1963, the French critics' award yearly recognizes personalities who made a special contribution to the French culture.
Jérémie Rhorer and his orchestra Le Cercle de l'Harmonie attracted the critics' attention especially because of the huge success of their production of Le Nozze di Figaro first performed at the Festival de Beaune, later on enravishing the Paris audience. Other season highlights included several tours with top-class soloists such as soprano Diana Damrau.
