The Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra (SWR) is one of today's few orchestras, which have a distinctive sound profile. In this case the profile however is not built on an old tradition but on the work with Roger Norrington. This cooperation has led to a unique connection of historically informed performing practice and the capacities of a modern symphony orchestra.
