Salome Kammer proves her exceptional standing with Schoenberg. To call Salome Kammer a great singer would be an understatement.

„Kafka-Fragmente" with Carolin Widmann at MaerzMusik

RBB KULTURRADIO, 23/3/2009 --- It is a well-known prejudice that Kafka is not a witty author. (...) And there was laughter indeed on this evening, especially because of Salome Kammer's excellent emphasizing of the miniatures. (...) Salome Kammer performs the pieces like a diseuse, revealing a figure behind every vocal mimodrama. That is very beautiful.

BERLINER ZEITUNG, 23/3/2009 --- Her partner is the soprano Salome Kammer, who moves between cabaret and chorale, and always keeps the ironic potential alive.

New CD: Salome Kammer: "Salomix-Max" (Wergo)

KULTUR SPIEGEL, 28/7/2008 --- On the concert stage, the voice virtuoso Salome Kammer, 49, has already amazed many listeners. This exciting album [salomix-max] shows what her "voice without limits" is capable of: whether she suddenly uses Saxon dialect in Mozart's "Die Alte" or turns Cole Porter's "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" into cool jazz, every piece captivates. In addition to young contemporaries, Weill, Berg, Berio, but the "Flight of the Bumblebee" too are included - what great fun.

SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG, 22/8/2006 --- In this cabaret there is no sense of political criticism. Its despatch is quite simply Salome Kammer in persona, with her stage presence, her acting ability, her voice, her accomplishment to lift the unpredicative to the level of a musical manifesto. ...more
Kurt Weil Festival in Dessau:

FRANKFURTER ALLGEMEINE ZEITUNG, 11/3/2006 --- Rhythmic conciseness, passion and colour contrast can be heard in the performance of musikFabrik under the direction of Stefan Asbury; Weill brought these qualities to the fore far more in these small casts than he would later in his more heavyweight operas. Only the question of identification is not included: the vocal sextet lead by Salome Kammer makes the stance of ironic distance unmistakeably clear.

MITTELDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG, 6/3/2006 --- Salome Kammer, a uniquely virtuosic and charming artist, went on a musical journey halfway around the world together with her congenial accompanist Moritz Eggert - following the footsteps of the "urban genius" Kurt Weill. ...more
