Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the artistic direction of Eliahu Inbal as a culmination of Mahler’s Year at Megaron in Athens
On 11. and 12. November 2011 the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, with chief conductor Eliahu Inbal, performed at the Megaron in Athens to celebrate the end of the concert hall's Year of Mahler. The program included Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen with soloist Christoph Prégardien and Gustav Mahler's Symphony No.1. On the second evening Waltraud Meier performed Rückert-Lieder before the magnificent finale of the concert, Mahler's Symphony No. 7.
