Deutsche Oper Berlin
Touring projects of Deutsche Oper Berlin with Donald Runnicles for 2013
The Deutsche Oper Berlin is one of the world‘s leading opera houses and has been committed to the large-scale opera repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries since it opened its doors in 1912. World-renowned soloists along with an excellent ensemble, choir, and orchestra as well as distinguished stage directors have assured the opera house‘s consistently prominent position in the music world. Important chief conductors of the Deutsche Oper Berlin have included Bruno Walter in the 1920s, Lorin Maazel in the 1960s, and Christian Thielemann in the 1990s. The Wagner and Strauss expert Donald Runnicles has been the opera‘s general music director since August 2009.
Karsten Witt Musik Management is delighted to be representing these two excellent ensembles of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, which are internationally renowned for their interpretation of Richard Wagner‘s canon.
Bayreuth-approved singers such as Matti Salminen, Robert Dean Smith, Peter Seiffert, Camilla Nylund, Klaus Florian Vogt, Eva Johansson and Waltraud Meier will be featured as soloists in the following periods.
