Caroline Scholz was born in Flensburg. Her musical education began with piano lessons at the age of 6. Later, she added the oboe to her instrumental repertoire and also sang in choirs.
 
She studied Musicology and Italian Literature at universities in Marburg, Berlin, and Venice, Italy, as well as Music Management in Ludwigsburg. During her studies, she worked for the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt and in the press office of the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart.

After gaining her master's degrees, she worked at the University of Zurich as project manager for the International Congress of Musicology 2007, which takes place in a different town every five years. She then worked on the organisational board for the University of Zurich's 75th anniversary and was responsible for the celebration's opening ceremony.

Caroline Scholz has been working at Karsten Witt Musik Management since August 2008.
