Philippa Allan, who grew up in Sydney, Australia, has had a broad experience with orchestras. She was involved for several years with both the Sydney and Australian Youth Orchestras. Following her violin studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she gained her Bachelor of Music with Honours in 1997, she performed regularly with the Berlin Philharmonic as a member of the Karajan Orchestral Academy, subsequently joining the Berlin Symphony Orchestra (now Konzerthaus Orchester). Orchestral and chamber music tours have taken her through Australia, New Zealand, North and South America, Asia and Europe.

As a member of the orchestral board of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, she was involved in the development of various projects, particularly in the areas of education and marketing. During this time, she also studied Arts Management at the FernUniversität Hagen.

Philippa joined our team in 2007.
